Glass Maintenance of your Seiko Watch
A good condition glass always enhances the look of a watch. Though substances today are available that are stronger and scratch resistant, it is the early, or older watches that suffer. Most glass can be polished out and cleaned of light scratched. Buffing machines with rouges are used with generally good success. When your watch is off your wrist, keep it case up, or better still in a box. If you are buying a second-hand watch be careful with the glass! I have brought very feeble glasses on decent watches before, they look good , but if they are not correct they are ill fitting when observed close up. If you have got a good buy on a decent second-hand watch, it might be worth getting the right glass if necessary fitted.
